Another exciting edition of the Pyrenees Stage Run was held from 1 to 7 September, a stage race that has established itself as one of the most spectacular on the calendar. Over seven stages, the runners faced a 220km route with a cumulative positive gain of 15000m, crossing the most incredible landscapes of the Pyrenees.
Participants had the opportunity to cross up to five natural parks of great ecological value, including the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, the Ter-Freser Natural Park, and the Aigüestortes National Park.
With the motto “More than a race, an unforgettable experience”, the Pyrenees Stage Run has once again demonstrated that this event goes far beyond the competition, providing all participants with experiences that last long after they have crossed the finish line.
A challenge marked by rain
Rain was the undisputed protagonist of almost all the stages, testing not only the physical preparation of the runners, but also their mental resilience. Despite the toughness of this edition, 108 participants (80%) have managed to complete all the stages and reach the finish line in Salardú after overcoming all 220km of the route. Those who have not been able to complete it, have still lived the entire race and in case of withdrawal, the next day they have been able to start the next stage to continue enjoying the experience and the route.

This year, despite the harsh weather conditions, the race has reaffirmed its essence: a perfect combination of adventure, mountains and a good atmosphere.
