The race reaches the halfway point of its 10th edition after completing four days, with teams “CTRL+F”, “WERUN4FUN”, and “THE AUSTRALIAN CRAWL” leading the overall standings.
The Pyrenees Stage Run (PSR) experienced one of the most special and emotional days of its tenth edition today with the celebration of the new vertical stage in Encamp. This day not only held great sporting value but also marked a historic milestone for the organizers: it was the 100th stage organized by BiFree Sports, combining all the stages held throughout the history of the Pyrenees Stage Run, the Costa Brava Stage Run, and the Brama Stage Run.
An Organizational Success with Spectacular Views
The vertical stage was a resounding organizational success and left a great impression on all participants. The organization would like to express its special gratitude for the collaboration of the Comú d’Encamp and Funicamp, which was essential to making this anniversary stage a reality.
The runners crowned the climb enjoying spectacular panoramic views at the finish line, and later celebrated this milestone with a communal meal at the El Racó de Solanelles restaurant, located at the top station of the Funicamp.
Halfway Point and Next Stage
With the completion of today’s vertical challenge, the Pyrenees Stage Run has reached exactly the halfway point of the race, with 4 stages completed. The competition does not stop, and tomorrow it will feature another 100% Andorran stage, with a high-mountain route connecting Encamp to Arinsal.
Overall Standings Leaders
After the first four stages, the battle for the top positions in the overall accumulated standings remains very much alive in the three main categories:
– Men’s Category: The UK team “CTRL+F”, consisting of Joseph Pickard and Mark Burley, leads the classification with a cumulative time of 15:18:19.
– Mixed Category: The German duo “WERUN4FUN”, made up of Annika Mahle and Dominik Klöppel, holds the first position with a time of 18:16:28.
– Women’s Category: Australians Alicia Ralph and Marijke Walshe, running as “THE AUSTRALIAN CRAWL”, dominate the category with a time of 18:51:29.
The Pyrenees Stage Run is organised by BiFree Sports, a company with extensive experience in organising stage races.
